Meryl Chick is a Consultant with BluePeak Advisors, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. Meryl is an experienced consultant with over 25 years of managed care industry experience in operations management and over 5 years of experience in consulting services.
Prior to joining BluePeak, Meryl was a Senior Manager for a large health plan for Medicare Part C Appeals and Grievances. She has also managed Enrollment Operations for two different Medicare plans, including a large Pharmacy Benefit Management company (PBM). Meryl has conducted and supported numerous audits with her primary expertise in Organization Determinations, Appeals and Grievances (ODAG), and Coverage Determinations, Appeals and Grievances (CDAG), as well as Enrollment, assisting two organizations remediate issues that led to Enrollment sanctions. She has also worked on large scale implementations as a project manager or a business owner, such as enrollment platform changes. Additionally, she worked for a big 4 consulting firm as a healthcare management consultant for 3 years and led projects in both Medicare and Medicaid for claims, encounters, enrollment and grievances.
At BluePeak, Meryl has led a variety of projects standing up three new Medicare Advantage plans including an Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWP) with delegated entities for enrollment, premium billing, call center and grievances, including development of an oversight dashboard. She has assisted clients with both compliance and operational assessments and remediation, including developing oversight reporting, work instructions, dashboards and policies and procedures. Additionally, she has supported pre-delegation and mock audits, as well as CMS audits. Meryl has also supported Clients with operational resource needs for grievances, enrollment, as well as call center.
Meryl holds a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in economics and administration of justice from Rutgers University.
