Key dates for 2025 Medicare Advantage new contracts or contract expansion
| November 11, 2023 | The deadline for submission of the NOIA to ensure access to the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) for new Medicare Advantage (MA), Prescription Drug Plan (PDP), or Employer-Group Waiver Plan (EGWP) contracts or plans that wish to expand their service areas. |
| January 10, 2024 | Applications for CY2025 Initial and Service Area Expansion Applications for MA, Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD), PBP, Special Needs Plan (SNP), EWGP, and 1876 Cost Plan expansion Applications are posted on the CMS website. |
| January 19, 2024 | Final day to submit NOIA for CY 2025. |
| February 14, 2024 | CY 2025 Initial and Service Area Expansion Applications are due in HPMS by 8 p.m. EST. |
| Late May 2024 | Qualification determinations provided to CY2025 applicants for new contracts or service area expansions. |
| June 3, 2024 | CY 2025 deadline for bid and formulary submission. |
