David W. Shearer is a Health Plan Consultant with BluePeak Advisors, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. David has over 13 years of experience with Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans, including pharmacy reporting, compliance reporting, member eligibility, and medical claims analysis.
Prior to joining BluePeak, David most recently served as a Senior Manager overseeing a team of product owners in the Data and Analytics space for the Medicare Advantage line of business. David developed some of the first STAR reports for Part D Metrics at the health plan and worked on compliance issues that arose from CMS program audits including timeliness and communication tracking. Also, while at the health plan, he worked on two different pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) integrations including building and testing the main member eligibility feed to the PBM.
At BluePeak, David lends his data analytic expertise to the development of a CMS Program Audit universe tool, operational and compliance dashboard development, as well as medical claims audits.
David graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Economics.
