Cresta Hickerson is a Senior Health Plan Services Consultant with BluePeak Advisors, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. With over 27 years of nursing experience, Cresta has built a distinguished career spanning clinical leadership including over a decade in case management and utilization management with health plans. She has successfully led teams through audits, ensured compliance with regulatory standards, and upheld critical healthcare guidelines, demonstrating strong leadership and expertise in healthcare operations.
Prior to joining BluePeak, Cresta held a range of clinical and leadership roles. She began her career as a registered nurse in various care settings gaining hands-on experience, in patient advocacy and care coordination. Most recently, she served as the Behavioral Health Director for a health care plan where she led multidisciplinary teams , project management, strategy development, risk assessments, health analytics, and financial management. Cresta’s leadership was instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring compliance and enhancing operations efficiency. Cresta’s career reflects a consistent focus on quality care, operational efficiency and strategic health plan development.
At BluePeak, Cresta advises clients on optimizing their Medicare Advantage Part C program, including HEDIS, Stars and quality improvement. Cresta draws on her clinical background and industry insight to assist organizations select and refine programs that align with both regulatory requirements and member needs.
Cresta holds a Bachelor of Science from Notre Dame in nursing and is a multi-state licensed Registered Nurse. She is also a Certified Case Manager (CCM).
