Alicia Scott is currently a Senior Consultant with BluePeak Advisors and has worked in the Medicare Part C and D industry since 2008. Alicia has over 10 years of managed care experience with expertise and management in Utilization Management, Case Management, Medicare Clinical Strategy, Government Programs and Business Development. Alicia is a calculated risk taker with a proven track record of leading national teams in achieving enterprise goals in a multiple-line-of-business environment.
Prior to her work at BluePeak, Alicia served as AVP, National Leader at a large national health plan where she focused on all aspects related to the Medicare line of business, including regulatory requirements of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and accreditation requirements of National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
Her 18 years of experience includes clinical medical/surgical care, primary nurse care coordinator, and administrator on duty. After working full time as an administrator on duty, Alicia assumed the role of Utilization Review Nurse, working in the insurance sector of nursing with continued growth roles, such as floating utilization review nurse, Supervisor of Utilization Review, Manager of Medicare in the Medical Management Department, and Program Director for Medicare. Alicia also completed the role of Clinical Operations Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in 2014. In this yearlong executive management development program, she gained diverse experience in various UPMC settings.
Alicia was the recipient of the Who’s Who in Black Pittsburgh, Corporate Brass recognition in 2015 and was also recognized as an Employee Resource Group Leader with the Nursing Inclusion Award in 2015. Alicia earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) from Waynesburg University in 2012. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and National Black Nurses in Action and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.
